A Couple of Poems I Like
It Couldn't be Done
Somebody said that it couldn't be done,
But she with a chuckle replied.
That (Maybe it couldn't) but she would not be one
Who wouldn't say so till she tried.
So she buckled right in with a trace of a grin on her face,
If she worried she hid it.
She started to sing as she tackled
The things that couldn't be done,
And she did it!

How Friendship Grows
To cultivate a friendship
Is a very special art
That starts with an upturning
In a corner of the heart. . .
The tiny seed of loving
Must be deeply planted there
And nurtured with the sunshine
Of warm tenderness and care.
Add a touch of humor
Just to help the plant along
Lightly water it with teardrops
To make it grow more strong. . .
Soon the buds will start appearing
On each tiny stem and vine
And shall bloom into a friendship
Of two hearts that intertwine.

Just a little about Myself
I have two boys and four Grandchildren with four Great Grandchildren.
I attended Central High School of Ft. Wayne and went into the GE workforce shortly after that.
Bowling and Golf kept me busy in my younger years, but now it is Bingo--not quite so tiring.
I was active in the FOE Aux. #248, serving in all chairs and Secretary for nine years. Then on to
State Office and another round of chairs. Served as State President 1975 - 76. That was not enough
as I went into National Office for two years. That was enough traveling and speech making for me.
Started staying at home. I lost my husband in May, 1989 and have been my own boss since.
